Ahead of his debut album, American Glory, indie rocker Eddy Yang has released, in May, his first single, On Our Way (Into The Night).
The Los Angeles-based, Asian-American artist’s On Our Way (Into The Night) is the first-ever surround sound single.
Reminiscent of the sound of the band John Cafferty & The Beaver Beaver Brown Band (Eddie and the Cruisers), On Our Way (Into The Night) is about getting into your car and driving into the night to escape your hometown and your past. It’s also about one’s desire to find your own path in life.
The song explores classic American rock themes, such as fast cars, freedom, and escapism, but with a modern twist. With fast lines and slick guitar leads, On Our Way (Into The Night) captures the feeling of being young and alive, when one holds the world in the palm of your hands.
Yang’s musical influences range from classic rock artists like The Velvet Underground, Television, and Bruce Springsteen to modern artists including Beach House, and Chvrches.
